Shooting Script

Over the last week we worked on a shooting script, which includes not just all the shots, but also includes hints to sound, text, music and props!

We chose to create our script including the shot list and music and sound effects because it will make the filming of our trailer far easier. Each scene clearly states everything that will be required in the filming and editing. The storyline that the trailer follows is enhanced by what each of the characters say. Their personalities are made clear by the different hints that are included in the trailer and adhering to high school stereotypes allows audiences to associate our film with others that they’ve seen. I think that it is especially important that we did not give away too much of the story in the trailer but still included enough to intrigue audiences and leave them wanting to find out more. We are now all very excited to commence the filming of our trailer!

This table that we created will make it far easier whn it comes to going out and filming the trailer. The voice over empasises the genre and the way we want to bring over the characters personality to the audience. Everything here is what we need to do to show the storyline to the audience but it is important not to reveal to much as the trailer needs to be the carrot that attracts the audience to wanting to go and see the film.
